Hello valued customer,

We want to give you an update with how things are going with our business as we cautiously navigate our way though this pandemic.

There’s been on-going discussion and careful consideration about whether or not we will continue to operate during these times of quarantine. We here at Be Green understand how important it is to keep our services available to you. The decision has been made to keep our doors open and continue to service our clients with the utmost amount of caution. We feel that we owe it to you and our employees to be as careful as possible to continue to provide services. As a local business we rely on your continued support to contribute to economic stability and work hard to disinfect this dangerous virus in your homes. Unfortunately, our business is not one that can continue to operate “from home” like others in our community. If we were to shut our doors, our cleaners and other employees will greatly suffer and we want to do everything we can to keep them healthy, physically and financially.

There has been a shortage of disinfectant and other household cleaners on Amazon, in stores, and other retailers. However, we use products that are not typically available to residential customers and continue to work exclusively with our chemical manufacturer. With that being said, we have plenty of our all natural & organic germicide/disinfectant in stock and are scheduling/completing appointments as fast and carefully as we can.

Our workplace plan to help slow the spread COVID-19:

  • We are now requiring our service providers to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds in between each appointment.
  • We are also requiring our service providers to wipe down and disinfect their equipment and mobile devices in between each appointment.
  • We have also implemented an automatic electronic hand washing and personal hygiene reminder system within our proprietary scheduling application.
  • Unfortunately, we will not be able to service any nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or containment zones until further notice.
  • As a courtesy to our elders and high risk clients, we are adding a FREE disinfectant solution to our cleaning process.

We would like to thank the healthcare workers, responders, and emergency service providers around the world for putting their lives on the line to help keep our communities safe.

Don’t get stuck in bed this Holiday Season!

Tis the season for family gatherings, warm hearts and full bellies. It’s also the season for illness and long days in bed. Be Green Services knows all too well how important it is to get your carpets cleaned when the weather turns cold, not only for your health but for your carpets health as well.

We stay indoors more when it’s cold outside, this leads to more exposure to germs, allergens and pollutants. Also we tend to keep our windows and doors closed (for obvious reasons) with little to no fresh air being circulated in the home. This reduces the quality of indoor air which is an excellent opportunity for illness to spread. Not only can dirty carpets affect your own wellbeing but it also affects the wellbeing of your carpets, rugs and furniture.

      With snow and cold weather we tend to track in more dirt and moisture just by walking in the front door. It ends up on our carpets and rugs and even our furniture. More buildup of soiling!! If you wait until the spring to get your carpets cleaned there will be a buildup of soil that is harder to remove which in the end may cost you more. Soil acts like an abrasive and wears the fibers of your carpets, rugs and furniture down making them look tired and worn (it’s like sandpaper being rubbed into the fibers).

   So not only will having your carpets, rugs and furniture cleaned this winter affect the wellbeing of you and your loved ones health this winter but will also help prolong the life of your beautiful carpets, furniture and rugs. 2017 Holiday Food Drive – Donations Accepted Until December 20th

Please join us this Holiday season to help feed the hungry in your neighborhood.

The wellbeing of the communities we serve has always been one of Be Green Service’s top priorities.That’s why this holiday season our service providers will be picking up food donations for our Holiday Food Drive from now until December 20th. All proceeds will be donated to a food bank in your area (see list of local food banks below).

The process is simple. Just fill up a bag of non perishable food items and our Providers will retrieve them during your next scheduled Carpet or House Cleaning appointment.

Below is a list of some example acceptable food items (alphabetical order):

Keep your carpets and furniture clean with these helpful tips.

Keeping your carpet and furniture looking its best is more than just a service to us at Be Green.  These tips will help maintain your carpet and upholstery between regular professional Be Green Services carpet cleanings.  By using these tips along with annual professional cleanings, you can help increase the longevity of your carpets and the health of your home. 

Spots and Spills

  • Food, grease & oil
    • Mix ½ cup water with 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
    • Mix until it is a milky thin consistency
    • Apply to the spot and scrub in gently
    • Allow to dry
    • Brush loose
    • Vacuum
  • Coffee, tea, soda, or anything which contains a dye
    • Sponge the spill/spot immediately (absorb with terry cloth)
    • Soak with club soda or a mixture of part white vinegar an part water
    • Lightly scrub the spot, applying more moisture from either solution until gone
    • Keeping the spill moist until the spot is gone.  This will keep the dye in the spill from setting into the carpet fibers.
  • Pet Stains
    • Spray on a solution part white vinegar and part water.  The vinegar will attract the acid from the pet stain preventing browning or yellowing of the carpet fiber.

Carpet & Upholstery Care Maintenance Tips:

  • We recommend always raking your carpet before vacuuming.  Dirt has a sandpaper effect on your carpet.  By raking your carpet first, this loosens the dirt, allowing your vacuum to work more efficiently. Call us to purchase a rake directly from us!1-855-578-6344
  • To remove a dimple left by furniture in your carpet, place an ice cube in the dimple before bed.  The dimple will be removed overnight.
  • Once a month, brush the surface of your furniture to remove trapped dust, dirt, and silt.  Use a natural fiber brush to insure delicacy.

In a pinch for time and need your clothes dry now?

Grab a fluffy dry towel and throw it in with your wet clothes in the dryer. The dry towel will help draw out the moisture from your wet clothes accelerating the drying time and saving energy!

We recommend using a towel that matches the color of your clothes so you don’t have to worry about the towel changing the color of your clothes or your clothes changing the color of your towel.

This is most effective the first 15-20 minutes of drying time. After 15-20 minutes pull the towel out and start the dryer again and your load should be done drying in 15-20 minutes (times will vary depending on the load size.). This also helps reduce wrinkles in your clothes!

Clean your microwave with lemons and water

Clean Your Microwave Using Only Lemons and Water:

Cleaning your microwave is awkward and requires a lot of elbow grease. The dried crusty food is difficult to remove. Cleaning your microwave the Be Green way is quick and cleans much better without using any chemicals! So grab a lemon, a microwave safe bowl and a dry towel.

  1. Cut the lemon in half
  2. Fill the bowl with 1/2 cup water
  3. Squeeze the lemon juice into the water and put the lemons in the bowl
  4. Place bowl in microwave and set to 3 minutes push start
  5. The lemon water will boil and create steam in the microwave.
  6. After 3 minutes carefully remove the bowl from microwave (it will be VERY HOT)
  7. The steam created will soften the dried crusty food.
  8. Take your towel and just wipe the stuck on food away.
  9. If any tough spots left dip your towel into the lemon water and clean it up with the lemon water!

This method is so quick and convenient you’ll wish you’ve learned this years ago!
